Job Description
  • Present a positive first impression of the establishment’s friendliness, excellent service and high standards.
  • Greet guests upon arrival, inform guests of their wait time, monitor a waiting list, enter names into the computer system, and show guests to their table and bid them farewell as they leave.
  • Inform guests of current promotions and who will be serving them to ensure a smooth handoff to the service staff.
  • Answer incoming calls to the restaurant and provide appropriate service.
  • Gain guest loyalty.
  • Be observant to guests’ needs throughout the dining experience to ensure they receive high-quality service (i.e. notice a drink refill is needed while seating another guest and ensuring the drink is refilled prior to getting back to the door).
  • File reports and other documents on a daily basis and submit monthly reports.
  • Handle guest reservation details from the reservation system, including table allocation, dietary requirements, and billing.
Qualifications
  • Previous experience in a similar role preferred.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Knowledge of food and beverage items and menus.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
